w/e you want to say man... it will not change the fact that racing on the street is unsafe and stupid.

lets see...when I was 19...I was driving a 1986 Buick Lesabre, so no I wasnt street racing when I was 19.

I have raced on the street perhaps 3 or 4 times when I had my '94 tbird....that was 6 years ago. Then I read a few things about street racing, watched a few fucked up videos, and then lost a friend because of it. so I cant condone it.

..I'm 19 years old and I don't line up with some car on the street like that.. i'd rather not smack some family coming up the road after a vacation or some **** head on while doing 100 miles an hour...

Even the chance of it ruins any potential fun.

Ever see how long it takes you to stop from 100+ miles per hour?
Or even 80?

Or how bout the other car? Are they going to know to stop?

Dude...your an idiot. Get you and your ricer buddies, combine piggy banks, and make the trip to the track.

right, but in a casino, death is not a payout. in street racing it very well can be.

lol...and what SnTBakosFinest said. lmao.

Man, I wasn't going to say anything, but I just can't stop myself at this point.. You are trying to justify street racing when there is just no way to do it.

I think most here would be telling a lie if they said that they didn't run it on the street every once in a blue moon, but the difference is that most don't have this false sense of security that you seem to have. Bottom line, you are the reason why it costs me $600+/6mo. for my insurance when I have a perfectly spotless record. You and your friend racing through residential streets are the reason why most young adults simply can't afford to drive a high performance car and why some can barely even afford to drive at all.

You need to wake up and smell the roses, you are 19 years old, drag racing on the street, risking your life and many others and having the nerve to brag about it. You need to start by asking yourself a very, very simple question "What if?" Instead of just thinking "I can get away with it." Learn self control.

Listen man, Im really not trying to bust your ***** here, but I sell insurance and I've seen alot of bad things happen.. I don't want you or anyone here to end up like that stupid kid in the BMW a few weeks ago.

As far as this poor 'excuse' goes.. I raced mini cups, jr. late models, pro challenge, baby grands, do I need to go on? (for 6+ years) I probably have more hours driving (at 21 years old) then you will have by the time you are 30 years old. Does this prepare me anymore than anyone else here to street race? Even though I have raced countless laps at over 100mph with 15-30 other cars around me? Even though I have won many races & championships? Absolutely not.

Keep it on the damn track or don't do it.. Pretty simple logic.

now when did i ever say anything about how ur not qualified to be racing? and when did i ever compare how much time i got in a car compared to u? its kinda like saying ill been taller then ull ever be......as for me bein 30 and u havin more time in a car then me, by the time u were 21.....i doubt that very much......ive done several cross canadas. just for road trips sake. so maybe by the time im 25 or so ill have caught up to you form ur 21 y/o :P
and u got championships.....and i got street racing wins.......difference is u get trophies and some prize money, ide assume.....i just get prize money.

LMFAO Chris!

He'll learn.. Some day. I just hope for his sake it doesn't include learning behind bars or 6 feet under the ground. Unfortunately, I've had friends, acquaintances and clients learn both ways..

I wish StreetRacer was here to defend street racing. I think we would all be lying if we said we haven't done it before. But theres a pretty big "rice" scene around here and theres this road that they all go out to, its in the middle of the woods. I have never gone out there but i've seen it, perfect for a deer to jump out. Its ridiculous. Good thing those little Hondas are so slow. haha.

way out in the woods huh?..... I'd be lying if i diddnt say it sounds like a giant homo fest with streetracing used as a cover.

I am not sure where to begin with this thread. First of all, racing a V-6 Mustang against a Matrix is like listening to two ****** argue about who lost their virginity first. What the F is the dam point?

I think you deserve to have your DL taken away for life and your car crushed in a machine...not just for street racing, but for being immature enough to think racing a Matrix is a real race.

Let's make something clear....CRYSTAL clear. THIS IS NOT A DAM STREET RACING FORUM. If you want to talk about street racing, then go somewhere else. We don't want it here. We have plenty of 30+ year old Mustang owners who have lives and don't want to be assoicated with this noneness.

Next, using the excuse that "hey, you were 19 once too" is equally rediculous. Age is not excuse for wrong behavior. If you don't have the maturity to resist racing through a residential street, then you should not be driving. We all pay for it....some more then others. So, either change your ways, don't talk about them here, or find another site for this kind of conversation.

What if someone works the night shift and is just leaving

what if a random *** animal walks in the road

There are hundreds of what if's that you can't even imagine but the answers all all going to be shockingly similar best case scenario nothing happens and everything is fine. worst case you are personally responsible for the death of some ones father/mother/brother/sister/friend.

it's a small risk I know but if that risk is worth 50$ to you then you deserve to be shot and I'm not even ******* kidding that is putting the worth of 50$ or winning over the life of another human.

Grow the **** up.

Indeed. The worst part about is the dudes turning 20 and is like "ya, some of my friends have died, some are in prison, but its not me, so i don't give a ****, even though im doing the same thing they were"

And as for the "well we go out at 3am and if we left and hit the track it'd be 5"

Uh..saturdays? sundays? During the day where you can see ****?

I mean, McDonalds isn't a very serious job..I'm sure they'll give your boys a day off.

Your logic is beyond retarded man, you give people our age a shitty reputation when older folks see us in a mustang, be it a v6 or a cobra, all they can think is "well, there goes another teenage death cause he wants to be an idiot on the road"

Your "well im payin for the insurance so im gonna live it up" is garbage. Your a cause as to WHY other peoples insurance rates are higher. As for the "three accidents and not a spot on my record" Well, if any of those accidents are your fault, its on your record.
