A truck with a bass boat?
I was driving home from work yesterday was on an interstate highway comming up to my exit (to another interstate). I wasnt in a hurry so I just filed into the line of traffic and happened to be behind a truck pulling a 16 to 18 ft bass boat. No biggie... I was admiring the boat and the 200 Johnson out board as we went through exit and merged into the next interstate. Once lined out onto the interstate (speed limit 70 btw). He was cruising @70 so I changed lanes and proceeded to pass him. Again... wasnt in a big hurry or trying to show off. When I went to pass him I was doing so like a "normal" driver would. Well I got my front bumper about even with the pick-ups front fender/tire. All of a sudden I hear the pipes kick in from the truck! All I have noticed at this point is there is an F150 crew cab with pipes towing a bass boat. Well ok I hear his pipes and this truck starts pulling on me.WTF? So I thought.... HELL NO.... so I downshift into 4th doing between 70 and 75 and punch it. I thought 4th would be plenty for a truck with a bass boat in tow. After giving her hell in 4th gear and that F150 still pulling away I said Oh ****! This truck has got power! So between 80 and 85 I downshift into 3rd punch it again. I FINALLY started catching up! LOL... As I shifted into 4th again and pulled up beside him with my mouth droped open I finally notice this is one of dem der Harley Davidson F150s.
Now... am I right to understand that the Harley Davidson edition F150 is a nothing but a cew cab lightning? I think I remember reading somewhere that since SVT never made a crew cab or extended cab lightning that ford decided to build it under the Harley Davidson badge hence the same truck with a different package and badging? My mind was blown to see a truck pull like that at highway speeds while pulling a boat too. Hell alot of full size trucks do good just to maintain highway speeds (65 - 70) while towing ... but to not only be able to maintain it but to pull away from a mustang at that speed... all I can say about that was WOW!

Lol. Don't worry about it. Horsepower is horsepower (or Torque) no matter what type of car it is in. He had more than you, you have more than someone else. Trucks can be fast. I have a friend who owns a diesel peformance shop and has a truck that runs 11.2~, and is rebuilding the motor to go 10's or 9's.
