Also you must have one of the first ps3's because the 400 dollar 40 gig PS3 sony currently sells isn't backwards compatible with older PS games.

I have the 60gb...its the best one...plays everything..

computer pc games ftw!!!! i never play console games...advantage pc games have...you can totally mod them....put your own face on a computer character or your own car in a racing game...awesome

But they stopped selling those. Therefore my only option to be able to play my ps2 games would be to buy the 600 dollar one, and the PS3 isn't cool enough to justify paying 600 bucks for one.

I think you missed a thread I made sometime back. My friend sold me his ps3 (which he bought when they first launched) with two controllers and a game for $240 dollars...amazing deal I might say..

I just don't see why Sony has already switched out 2 or 3 models in just a little over a year. I really don't care for backwards compatibilty. It's too hard to play a new generation game and then go back to something looking like PS1. Resident Evil looked amazing when they re-did it for the Gamecube. Yes the Gamecube was a shitty system, but Resident Evil looked bad *** on it. Was pretty damn creepy too.
