ok, I'm planning on getting the ViS Carbon Fiber 3" Cowl Hood for my 02 GT. Most of the sites I have been to say the HOODPINS are RECOMMENDED.
So I ask you. The more knowledgeable... What are they exaclt for???? I Understand that they are an added security to keep your hood secure...but..Why wouldnt you need Hoodpins for our STOCK hoods??? Isnt the stock hood latch good by itself???? Whats the deal?

What ever you do,make sure you use hood pins!!!
I had the FRRP pins and they were pretty sweet but were too short to mount them where they were supposed to go so the shop fabbed a bracket and installed them that way.
