the other thread got closed. but, i'd like to discuss the differences and greatness between the gaming systems.

wii: it's great fun to play with friends. probably not something i'd play alone, but definitely something i love to play with friends. i love the fact that you actually have to have skill now to play games. but, i also hate the fact that i have to get up and try to play the games. i kind of liked the whole fact that games were sit down, thumb controlled, mind numbing games that took no effort.

360- i love the xbox controller. i've only played a few games but the graphics seem good especially on non hdtv. i've only played fight night, fifa 2007, fifa 2008, halo3, and bioshock. i personally liked the game bioshock a lot. you can only get it on 360 and pc. but it was a great game that was decently hard and took some thinking. between the 360 and ps3, seems like a pretty hard choice to me. the xbox and ps2 had pretty much all the same games except a few. but, the xbox controller took the cake.

i haven't played ps3 yet, so i'm looking for opinions on that.

 

360- i meant especially on hdtv. regular t.v. looks great too though!

 

You are right with the Wii. It's really only fun as like a party system. I was thinking about getting one, but I don't think I would want to play it by myself. I have xbox 360 and its great especially with a HDTV.

The PS3 sucks. My friend bought one and regretted it. He was always a Playstation fan, but this one just sucked. No good games and he ended up buying a Xbox and playing that a lot more.

 

I'm going to eventually get a WII because they are fun as hell. Not impressed with the graphics at all, but the fun factor makes you forget about them. The next generation of WII will probably be outstanding.

I've always been a PS player, but I switched to xbox 360 and have no complaints. To be honest, if the PS3 would have been $399 like it is now I probably would have got it, but I'm happy with the xbox 360. Whenever the wife isn't home I hook my xbox 360 up to the 42" vizio and rock halo 3 in
1080p HD. It's sick!

 

former PS head here too. I preferred the PS2 over the original xbox, but xbox 360 takes the cake. Wii is a lot of fun but i find myself playing rock band on 360 more often recently.

Also I don't like how the "budget" $399 PS3 won't play PS2 games, that was the definite deal breaker.

Cool another Wii thread, hopefully this one wont get polluted. Wii FTW!! It's the most versatile and unique system out there. I have had mine for a week now and I love it! Especially for the fact u can DL retro games from 8 different old school systems...oh and u can surf the net with it too...I made my thread about the Wii with my Wii...lol... sounds funny.

 

the wii graphics aren't good at all. comparable to the 64! but, all the games do make it fun. especially how they have a bunch of games that are short and like tons. my cousin has a game pack with like a 100 different little games. it's fun! i could see myself playing a few things alone, but i mostly feel like they have games that have[ to be played with people. the wii is great for drinking games with friends too.

i still haven't played ps3 but it sounds disappointing!

 

Wii graphics are a tad better than PS2...much better than the N64 had... now, when you play a N64 game on the Wii, the graphics look like, well, N64 graphics.
