Bad Experience with MAC Performance

Default Bad Experience with MAC Performance

I ordered a MAC Straight Shot Cold Air Kit #3446 from MAC Performance.

It took 2 weeks to get here via UPS...as it should have been 4 to 5 days...but it took 14 lousy days.

then I open the box and I'm missing the blue elbow gasket that connects the cold air tube to the throttle body.

so i call MAC Performance Directly and they drag their feet for like 2 days and i don't hear anything, so then I call back...and the sales rep Manny says he'll get one out right away at no charge. I email over the invoice, and a pic I took of all the stuff in the box.

Well apparently Manny gave it to another rep named Weylin to handle because Manny was gonna be on vacation this week, and so Weylin sends me an email saying it's gonna cost $34.50 (FOR A FREAKIN PIECE OF RUBBER)? are you kidding me?

I've tried to get ahold of the boss man there, but he's conveniently out of the office all the time, and so I leave messages and the calls don't get returned.

SO bottom line, don't do business with MAC Performance...they're a joke, and have no idea of what customer service is.

I like MAC products exhaust wise but I never dealt with there actual office since I buy all my parts from after market sites. Only company I've dealt with was K&N over the phone and they were outstanding. I was missing a piece of the intake (since I bought it used) and they sent the part out to be the same day I called and got it 3 days later. Surprised me that they would do that since I of course didn't buy the thing new or have any proof of purchase. So bottom line air intake wise K&N FTW

sorry to hear your having a bad experience with MAC. I had a MAC Prochamber on my mach and loved it, however I didn't deal directly with MAC. Bad customer service will kill a company!

wow, the guy finally called back after I threatened to start posting on every Mustang forum i could find, they are sending the part out, but i have to pay the $5 shipping (Gay). i tried to get them to cover it, but they wouldn't budge, and I can't send it back, because that would cost me more money...so i said whatever, and paid for the shipping.

hopefully the damn thing will be here this week.

i'd like to get this kit installed.

sad you have to get an attitude and threaten a company, just cause they dont wanna do the right thing.

Why didn't you just order it through AM? Have they stopped selling mac products?

maybe you showed your irrigant side when ordering and they figured they didnt need your business that bad, being a jack all the time doesnt always pay!

You would think he would have considered going through AM, but yeah know since he runs his mouth here, Emilie prob has black flagged him from ordering too!

if something like that happens again tell em your going to call the federal business bueruea and then hang up. My mom did that about some jewelry she didnt get one year cuz they were being gay about it and doing kinda the same thing and we got it the next day.

they were running a special and the kit was only $79.95 + $12 shipping, that's why. usually that kit runs $189.95

also this would be why I didn't order from AM.

and please learn how to spell. its not irrigant...it's ignorant or arrogant...kinda like you.

and no I'm not black flagged from ordering on American Muscle...they love my business, I've never had a complaint about their service, and I'm a very good customer, that always pays for his goods. I'm also always satisfied with their service, they are 10 times better than Late Model Restoration

from the looks of your sig, you're still driving a 4x4 mustang. why don't you KRZYPNY up some money, and doing something with your stang...looks like crap.

my $.02
I bought a set of Mac l/t headers for my GT back in 2000.......... att they were the ONLY company that had a set that wasn't $700.00, granted they were $169.00 and coated, but in less than 2 months they looked like ****....all the hight-temp silver coating was gone and this was left was RUST !!! and this was on a track-only car, no street driving.....
