Is Your 'Stang Your Daily Driver?
just curious as to how many have their 'stangs as their daily driver. i'm about to buy a '01 Cobra, but i still have my '00 Silverado. i owe $4,000 on the truck but was thinking i migth keep it. might leave my wallet tight for a little while but it would keep me from running up the miles on the car.

heck no...my stang is more like my monthly driver...if that much...i dont know about the rest but i cant imagine driving the stang every day...i tried it while my corolla was in the shop and brother its expensive...i swear sometimes you can actually watch the needle move on the gas gauge....i only drive the stang when the boys call me out to a streetrace event or when i'm taking a road trip....

well in my case, i do a good bit of driving. my new job is closer then my last but i still drive a lot. example, in one year i put a good 40-30,000 miles on my truck. would be nice to split that between car and truck. put less wear on both ya know. and that way if i want to do something to the stang and have it down a few days i'll have another vehicle.

naw its not a lambo...but take my last stang...2000....shiny, black, spotless and dingless...when i sold it people lined up...beyond mint and yet it did see the street...same as with this one...i race it whenever i am summoned...and i cruise in it whenever i have time...but i like it that whenever it rolls out people stare like its a mobile car show

Hell no.
Since i got the Honda Beater the mustang went from about 11,000 miles per year to 1,500 miles per year.
I live about 23 miles from work. My honda gets 40mpg.
I drive the mustang around as i run errands in the neighborhood or if i just want to drive. During the winter she is back in ger garage untill spring. She might get out 2-3 days between december and march.
Maybe if she was paid for i would feel different, but i dont want to be dumping out $450 car patyments on a high mileage mustang. Im keeping her as nice as long as i can. I have no plans to be rid of her.

Mine's a DD. About 870 miles on 'er right now.
If I were still a civilian, I'd still have my F150 for a DD and would probably store the Mustang in the garage more, but I don't have that luxury anymore.
I had to give up the house with the garage in exchange for a barracks room, and moving 2 vehicles when you PCS as a single Soldier is a PITA. So she's a DD. But I'm happy to have her nonetheless.
Work is a block away though, so my commute time is pretty reasonable.

My DD here too. Right now she is covered in road film and the wheels have a nice thick coating of brake dust. My drivers side side scoop is torn off and that fender is dented really bad. I got a crack in the windsheild that has started to spread last week. And last of all my AC compressor clutch is out and it makes all kinds of noises while the engine is running. After all that I got almost 88k miles on it.
.....So yeah LOL its definately my DD!

Lol well I'm not missing any pieces off my body or having mechanical troubles but it looks kinda sad.
I'll take a new picture of it tomorrow.
Here's how the tires are looking on it.
Gee I wonder what caused that..hmmmm

I would say that my girlfriends car is my DD, and '02 Eclipse. And I still have my v6 that I drive when I go home. I usually drive the GT a couple of times a week, but that is like 4 mile round trip to the college and back.

mine is my daily driver for now. it has 75,000 miles on it. im recovering from an accident (broken hip/arm). once i heal and I receive a settlement and pay the mustang off, i will be buying a used honda to get back and forth to work with to keep the miles off the mustang.
