I have read alot of post bout folks whipping up on ricers and all other cars but havnt seen a post on one peticular car.

A guy I work with has a Mazda RX8 and he is always bragging how nothing can touch him. He "says" that he has smoked an '03 Cobra, Z28 SSs, and alot of other cars. He will admit however that the one car that gives him hell is the GTO. I cant get him to run me, he says a "GT" mustang isnt worht his time.

So..... has anyone ever ran one, or been in one to tell how they compare against a stang? I really want a peice of that 8. I have tryed driving beside him to antagonize him to run me but he never will! LOL I dont mind getting beat but atleast I would know!

 

They are pretty quick cars, I think they put out like 230-240 HP on a 1.8 liter rotary engine which pretty damn impressive but a lightly modded 99-04 GT will walk all over those cars...

PS: Ask him what he's smoking on..cause there is no way he smoked an 03 cobra nor an SS for that matter..

Rotary's are more of turds that 2 valves...

 

never had a problem from one and i've tried a few...so far they get no respect from me unless theres a modded to the stars one out there that i havent run yet

 

They suck ***. They are ugly and not that fast. They need to bring back the turbo RX-7.

 

they're quick but they're not straight line fast. Besides... if he tries to race you from a dig (and I'll bet 20 bones he knows this) he'll leave his apex seals and all his oil on the street. He'll probably only want to race from a roll and if you can drive well enough you'll smoke him.

If he drives an auto...it's a dog don't trip...they're slow. If it's a manual, then his high rev range will make rowing the gears efficiently important.

I've eaten them up but I don't even consider that a kill... they're designed to turn really well and launch really shitty.
