Default 2008 Bullitt info leaked??

I have no idea if this is true, but I got this from another site....seems pretty lame if it's true......

There was talk about a new 4v motor going in it but I guess that will wait..

The information contains specifics as to power increases, exterior/interior modifications and production numbers but doesn’t include a projected price. The car will also get the obvious exterior and interior modifications to give it the Bullitt feel along with improved suspension. so they'll charge 10 grand more for a car with basic bolt-on's already done. hmmm... not sure how excited I am about that. Good find though.

Totally....I'm not excited at all, but who knows if that info is true....it kinda sounds like something Ford would do though.

I like that, a special production car with a whopping 12hp more than a stock GT. Come on, at least give it like 350hp or something.

Funny, I just read a rumor that the Bullitt Mach1 and Boss concepts had been scraped due to Fords money problems.

that would be really retarted if it only had 12hp more, but eh like said above the old one was only boosted 5hp more...lame; hopefully the Mach 1 if they bring it back will look sweet and have some more power to it.

if the bullit mach 1 and others were scrapped...ford would have bigger money issues then what they already got..

they do need to come out with something a little more powerful if they are gonna save themselves. now, that SuperSnake idea is pretty cool.

or something a little lighter.....ford doesn't need to put huge engines in the mustangs, just keep the weight down and they will do just fine.

SnTBakosFinest....I don't think ford really makes money on their special edition stangs....I mean they probably don't take a loss, but when you only produce 7,000 special edition cars it's not exactly going to pull you out of the hole. I think they do it to keep us hardcore guys happy, but as long as the
v-6's keep selling they should be ok.

i really hope that if they make any special ed. stangs that they put them somewhere around the 400hp area, more then a Gt but less then the GT500. A nice middle mark so it makes it worth the extra money they are going to cost.

ha ha but what about the parnelli jones mustang? that has 400 horsepower so maybe they will put less in the other stangs. but then again they are only making like 500 PJ mustangs so those will be like uber rare. I think all the models should get some nice horsepower bumps to compete with the new camaros, challengers, and GTO's coming out

oh yeah i forgot about the PJs. but those are VERY limited. only 500 and one is already taken by Parnellli himself if im not mistaken. plus at almost $60,000 its probably not worth it.

The parnelli jones edition isnt even a Ford special edition, its built by Saleen. Saleen is having a hard time selling the ones they did build. My dad and I where at a Saleen dealer because he is looking for a SC281 or Stage 3 Roush. They had 5 PJ edition Saleens.

But regarding the Bullitt, its similar to the 01 as said before. The 01 is somewhat collectible, its defiantly more valuable than a 01 GT. The new bullit will be similar to the Shelby GT. Depending on pricing a 5-7K upgrade wouldnt be unreasonable. You would spend about that to upgrade the body, brakes, wheels, suspension, seats, performance, and drivetrain upgrades if you bought a GT. That and the bullit is a special edition model.

The Boss or Mach 1 special edition will be the one that most likely has the N/A 4V like the 03-04 Mach 1.
