My girlfriend was in the market for a new laptop, so we ended up buying one today. She was on a pretty strict budget, and I think we did a pretty good job.

Compaq Presario is what we got.

and the rest of the basic stuff.
Total was $599 from Best Buy, great deal IMO.

I have an HP with 1.83ghz Intel Duo 2, higher vid card, and better battery and paid double of what she did.

 

Yeah I bought a gateway at best buy a while back for 699 on sale.

It was an AMD Turion 64X2 1.6 GHz, 120gb HD, DVD burner, etc. Good deals can be had if you dont need the best of the best.

 

The computer or laptop you buy now with be worth much less in a year just like a car except the Shelby GT500 lol. Sometimes its worth just waiting for the new model to get good deals and the outgoing.

 

Aint that the truth bought my labtop for $750 last year 6 monthes later it was like $499 someplace else and it might have even been better.
