Lightbulb Some help

It would be a while before i did anything, like after i get my car paid off. But im just wondering what everyone thinks about this. I want to get a fox body that needs like restoration or whatever, work on it and restore it. But in the process make it a pure race car, only having a drivers seat, stearing wheel, and roll cage. Then like having a new cobra block dropped in it or possibly a 351windser or cleveland dropped and a 6-speed manual. But then again i would like to fix my car up i have right now. I was thinking next step, if not a cobra engine would be a supercharger or turbo. But i dont really know which one would be better. I konw i would probably have to get a t-bird supercharger if i wanted to sc it, but dont know if turbo is better, i like the idea of the lag and the BOV but then agian sc has a nice whine to it and its from the time you give it power. I have somewhat an idea what i wanna do, but just want to know peoples thoughts.

lol yeah that sounds good. BUt i was seriously thinking about dropping a cobra engine down into it. My cousin said i can get one that comes with the frame/transmission/computer with it so all i have to do is take out my old one, swap it and just hook everything back up. I am gonna be restoring the 73, but since its my mom's she doesnt want a 6-speed manuaul transmission in it or a different engine. But i think i am just going to keep my v6 and fix that up and then get a car later on.

the motor is 99% done and i just have some odds and ends to finish. if you all had the brains or money to carry on a project like this you would understand, so the reason for me to validate your replies is null. oh, and guys, i could rape you all even with my old spun bearing motor

this isnt smack talk, and even if it was, this battle would be a little dumb. so carry on with this guy's help. ill get the car done and take on all challengers.good enough guys? i mean do you know anyone that rebuilds an engine, straps on a blower, fuel system, rebuilds transmission, rebuilds rear, and welds up subframes, puts on long tubes, guages, etc in 5 seconds? theres a downtime to every mod. you guys are just used to the 2 hour downtown of a catback install.

Yeah, well agreeing with Dom, this isnt smack talk section. Plus if his car being out of commission this long and he says its almost done, and when it is, it will rape almsot anything, i trust him. I know how it is, sortof. MY '73 looks really rough on the outside, primered spots, black front end and the original teal back, and till recently a really bad exhaust leak. But when people at my school said stuff about it and they were driving a civic or something, i got ona road thats like 45 or 55 something like taht and not really race just take off fast and get to the speed limit or around it. They then see the motor is almost new, trans was just rebuilt and have a new respect for it. So im all up for this guys car, im loving to see a video when he does get it running, im betting its gonna be sick.

i hope it is. it frustrates the hell outta me sometimes now like i said, 03 cobra powertrain in the v6, with a solid rear, and ditch the 73 or, ditch the v6 and go with a turbo on the 302

Yeah, thinking if somehow i get liek 10k or so, buying a s.c. cobra engine that comes with the trans, frame, and computer and dropping it in my v6. With the v6 having a lighter body it could probably take most stock cobras. And just think of the reaction people will do when they think its a v6 but when i pop the hood having a cobra engine.

yea. i think its around 12k for the motor, trans, and exhaust. you would have to catch a rear from a gt and im not sure if the cobra motor comes with the fuel tank. and i know what u mean about the v6 lookalike

I am guessing 10-15k for the engine and stuff and if my cousin is willing and wants to help out dropping it is free, due to the fact he has a engine lift. But if not another 5k or so for the drop and work....not to mention labor.

nope, but i do have acouple friends with some bad *** camaros. One is a z28 with a corvette engine dropped in it, gone threw 4-5 trans jan-mar and then another friend has a camaro ss and if you were to race him it would have to be from a roll 70, cause from a stop 1-4th gear is burning out.
