Yeah, so im working this weekend, went to Best Buy and bought one of these for work.


While i was there, i **** you not, they had a bunch of PS3's with people casually walking in and buying them.

I was dumbfounded to see this I asked the person in the gaming counter and he says "Oh yeah we got the next shipment in, would you like one?"

If i felt like spending the cash, i could have casually walked up and bought one.

No line.
No riots
No reservations
No "tickets"
Not pre-orders either
No robberys
No shootings

lol......

 

eh.... i doubt this is the only best buy where this is happening. im starting to wonder how much of this "Shortage" was planned to build up hype....

 

yeah, that and they know that all the muggings, stabbings, shootings, killings, and riots are all free publicity.

 

Hell yeah dude. FEAR and GEARS OF WAR are probably the first 2 games that really start getting close to the full potential of the xbox 360, and they are freakin amazing. we can only expect better too!

the PS3 is probably a slick system, on paper it is far far superior to the xbox 360, but the actualy gaming experience is all that matters, and while it might edge out the 360, i dont expect the difference to be that staggering....

I remember the SAME THING being said about the xbox 360 vs the PS2. The XBOX 360 was gonna "Blow the PS2 out of the water" cause it had like twice the processing speed of the PS2. Yeah. RIght. The two systems sure seemed neck to neck to me. xbox slightly edging out the ps2.

The only blowing that is gonna be happening is people blowing thier hard earned cash for a system that will just marginally be better than the 360. Then starts the waiting game "Oh yeah, the games that will blow it out of the water are in the development" which will be something yer gonna hear from the hard core PS3'ers untill the next gen of console comes out and everyone forgets how the PS3 was basically comparible and just slightly better then the 360.

ANyone who says the Xbox 360 aint good enough for them and they need an PS3 is some faggy little gamer kid who has never been laid and considers the barmaid in the RPG oblivion his ****in girlfriend.

LOL @ teh people who get caught up in the hype and listen to other people who get caught up in the hyper and exaggerate everything.

the ONLY thing the PS3 really has for it is certain software developers only work on sony systems. Like the Final Fantasy series and Tekken fighter gaames.

The Xbox360 vs PS3 battle will be won by software, not hardware capabilitys. All the hardware in the planet wont matter squat if the games are lame.

All i know is im pretty damn happy that I am around for this whole video game revolution. Both machines are top notch. PS3 has slight edge on hardware. But once again, the software will determine the winner.

Who won with PS2 and Xbox? Xbox had far superior hardware.... remember?

 

Psshh... i had em both too. Diddnt see anything incredible about Xbox over PS2.
Xbox was a little better... thats about it.


Maybe my problem is i just cant get too hyped up about this stuff. It all looks the same to me on gen vs gen honestly. I just go with whichever system is cheaper and has games that appeal to me more.
