2: gotta be able to be seen clearly from the couch about 12' away
3: relatively cheap I'm but a poor hispanic college student
4: it's gotta be a panty dropper, ie good quality.

lol, my friend here at college bought a 37" LCD from dell... the RAs come in and are like 'where the **** did you get that!???' Then check our fridges for alcohol, because itsa dry campus, yet a big party school, figure that.

It's hard to find a nice HD for 1500. My buddy just got a 60" Sony with 1080p capabilities and it cost him almost 4k. I'd say save your pennies for a little while longer and get one similar to that. Your 360 will look incredible on a huge screen like that. Don't get anything that is less than 1080p.

thought about that, I have one at home, but it just won't be the same, and when u have superbowl parties and **** the angle gets in the way...

Check this out... My brother just bought a 32" from them and he loves it..
BTW: I use a Samsung Monitor (19") for my PC Spent well over $500 on it and I have never seen a better picture. Toshiba Usually puts out a great product as well. Make sure that it has HDMI input, and one thing that is nice is an integrated HD tuner.

Dude this is the exact same TV i have. Unless yer closer than 8 ft to the TV telling the difference between HD and ED is damn near impossible. As for the Xbox 360 trust me this will handle anything you throw at it.
The price on this is 1,569. Ive seen em as low as 1300.

Get this TV and you will NOT be disappointed, it can pull HD over the air as well.
The ***** factor on this is mighty. The picture is freakin amazing, it takes up very little room. It is one hell of a display with very good picture of HD as well as standard signals.
