that is all you need right there
as for drag radials...get 275/40x17 for 17x9's and stocks.....315/35x17 for 17x10.5's...295/35x18 or 315/30x18 for 18x10s
aslo...get bfgs if u dont care how long u want them to last...nittos for less grip (2842098475x more than stock tho) but last a lil longer than bfgs.....if u want to go w/ an etremely great DR get the BFG KDW2's ...they have the same tread pattern as the DR but have much more tread

they will on the highway... and if you have an auto that plays a role too since you cant control where it shifts as well

i have i guess the stock bullet rims for a 2002 gt im not exactly positive what size they are. its a DD and when you say if i dont care how long they will last how long are we talking for normal driving the occasional run at the track and the occasional eating of a civic lol and how much would they be also would it be worth it to get all of this will i really feel a big difference?
#9
if you get gears and DR's you'll be eating more than civics hopefully! lol
look at 275/40/17 DR's if you can find them.
Nitto DR for a DD IMO, last around 15K miles
BFG DR for the greatest grip but maybe only 10K miles. I would only get 265/40/17 if I got these. (tend to run larger)
Also remember they are DR's, so the grip in the rain will be kinda poor.
EDIT: BFG doesnt make anything larger than a 225 for 17's

how does this look is it a good tire and rite size?
and i talked to a mechanic i know and he said he wouldnt do it he said they would be hell in the rain and also harder to drive in nice weather. and how many miles do you think they would last

If I were you just get a good street tire, shouldnt be too pricey since you are on stock wheel and size.
Good ones are BFG KD, Michelin Pilot Sport 2, Yokohama's top end, Goodyear GS D3. Stock size is 245/45/17, but go with a 255/45/17

4.10 gear and install/bearing kit
A good street tire like BFG
If you're not going to the track much, then why get the drag radials. The nittos have to be heated up anyway in order to hook. Also, your differential and axles are still stock so there is a possiblity of breaking then with the drag radial if the car does hook. Also, some people say that with the nitto's you can drive in the rain, while others have had experiences where they have totaled their cars by driving in the rain. You will pay the same amount for a street tire that will hook the same way (when it's not heated up) and will last you twice as long.
I have the same dilemna as you because i will be doing 4.10's as well once May rolls around. The only difference is that i will be building the whole rearend: differential, axles, bearing kit, gear, girdle, welded axle tubes and torque boxes. No if my car wasn't my daily driver, i would probably skip the Nitto drag radials and BFG drag radials, and go straight to the Mickey Thompson ET streets. Since i do drive my car year round, i have come to the conclusion that running a drag radial, even in the summer (i have to drive everyday and it does rain once in a while) is not a good decision. Therefore, i will be going with BFG KDW's once my rear is built.

i guess it really isnt smart to do the dr's well i just want the tires that will hook up the best i dont want to get these gears and just sit there and spin the tires what would you guys say is the best street tire for that

i have bfg kdw sports on my gt. im running a 275/40/17 on the rear and 245/45s on the front. the 275's look awesome on the rear they stick out passed the rim a little and they made a huge difference over the 245's on the rear. they
were about 190 a piece mounted.

alright so how about these KD's

those 2 sets of tires are much better than the ones that u posted...the KD's tread suck...

The Goodyears are too expensive. I heard that the Kuhmo's are too hard, but for the price they are worth it. I was also considering the KD's, they are the most expensive, and they wear kind of quick. I still think that the KDW or KDW2 is the best bet. They are around $155, and offer excellent dry and wet traction.

You're gonna spin any street tire if you dump the clutch. I think that the traction on the BFG's is gonna be the closest you can get to a drag radial. You're gonna have to lauch from under 1500rpms (they'll still spin) or slip the clutch if you want to launch higher. If you really want drag radials, i would suggest buying 2 separate rims. Then if you know for 100% that it will not rain, you can mount those suckers up.
