Its not like the old days,when i was a kid. 100k is still new,if you take care of it. Change the oil and stuff. It will last for a good long time. My 96' GT had 110k and was still going strong,till the horse stepped in front of me.

I was deployed at the time...but now that i'm home i have more time to browse around.

 

100k on a 281 is just getting broken in. 281s run forever and its a strong reliable engine. My buddy had a 97 gt with 150k and sold it and it ran great.

You've got another 100k left in it if you take care of her. My uncle had a SN95 and that baby had 220k before it went kaputt on him. I've got almost 20k until I'm there with ya.

 

was your car even tuned on laughing gas? spraying it at higher mileage is a little different than running n/a and close to stock. lol

 

cool... be ready to rebuild it in 50k or so... rebuild it and it'll last another 100k easy

 

Congrats, I think? I just hit 50K. I really don't care since I plan on eventually replacing the stock motor with a built one.

 

My car is tuned for my 125 shot. My motor has 90k on the motor.....i've been kind of scared to spray it lately. I wont untill I get some more safety stuff like an oil seporator. But my next project is to build the bottom end of this motor.

But you are right higher milage motors even N/A can blow even if it's not under stress

 

um, 21k and its raising very slowly... havent driven it in over a week, soundsl iek tommoro should be a goodday for a cruise...

 

Well my car has never been treated kindly I should say! Its only for the last 2 yrs that i've been treating it like a regular car! It has had 10+bottles running a 125 shot. 30+ Track visits launching a 4-5K and hoping for the best....I treated my car like a stole the fawker and i'm surprised that not once has it given up on me!.....

 

Man ive got another 85K till i get to 100k. That should take me a while

 

rebuild the motor and the car will love you

 

Welcome to the club. I got 105k on mine....but it will be rebuilt with stage 2 heads and a cam, and a few more goodies before long.........
