my sister came in for the week so i took the family out for dinner. we left the restaurant after the sun went down and as i came out the parking lot a 70 chevelle with 454 badges, headers, cams, flows, and dumps revs at me. so i pull out and head after him. he is ******* on his car, showing off. i guess he was looking for a race. i catch up to him and he stops in the middle of the road. no traffic was around so i though i would give it a try. the chevy sounded great. definitely a build big block with an auto and a lot of tire. he gave me a nod and i give him 1 back. before i can start the 3 honk deal he takes off. i blow the tires in 1st gear, catch him half way through 2nd, and had a car and a half by 5 grand in third. then i shut it down. i had my dad in the car with me and the chevelle guy was by himself. so he pulls up next to me at the next light with a goofy look on his face. you know the look like "did this just happen? did i just loose by this punk in a mustang?" so he says "man what do you have in that thing?' i respond with "just bolt on's and cams" he looked so lost. so then i tell him i have a procharger. then he smiles and starts shaking his head and says that figures. i complement his car and say good race and go through the light. felt good to race a real car. it sounded great and looked like a show car too. gotta love the sound of a built big block through headers.

 

Sound's like fun.I have alot of friend's with older muscle car's that are bad as hell.

 

yeah i raced one of my friends 64 or 65 GTO. He put straights on it, and it was so damn loud, but i still beat him anyway.

 

The only guys that wanna race around here are driving multicolored honda's. Nothing any fun. Sounds like a blast. What did your dad say?

 

all he could do is laugh. then he kept saying"i cant believe it"
my dad raced a gto back in the day so it took him back to that time in his life. he had a blast though.

around here we easily have a 50-1 ratio of ricers to nice cars... but there are a bunch of 350z's that are nice... and quick!
