Default YAAAAY new fender?..(kill me please)

Soo last night i was at a friends house(Tyler) just chillin. His friend pulls up and parks right next to my car, no biggie(LC). Anyways LC decides to back out his truck for some odd reason, and didnt turn his lights on. While he was backing out he gave my car a nice love tap right on the side scoop..Sooo now i gotta see what the **** i can do to fix this. He WILL pay for the repairs and i have all insurance info. My only question is how much is this **** gunna cost..I tried to take it to a local body shop but of course its saturday and all of my town is closed saturday..

well thats the worst place to get damaged because u cant just unbolt it.. And i dont think u could use body filler on that and get good result.. Its gonna be expensive, if my friend done that he'd be in the hospital. But bottom line,, its expensive.

EDIT -- U cant pull that out by using any of my methods, IE hooking it to a tree.

Okay my only questions are, A. Do you guys think this is fixable, B. Is it replaceable if i had to replace that section, C. How much would it probably cost me to do either, D. How much would it be to re-paint it.

^my car from about a year ago^
yes its fixable, no its not replaceable, well the sidescoop will be replaced but the fender can't be replaced, and they're not gonna repaint the whole car which was unfortunate for me because i have quite a bit of blemishes throughout the car and nether me nor my insurance payed for any damage . I can't remember how much, but i think i have a copy of the bill in my glovebox, i'll check in a few minutes

EDIT: the total from my bill was 1815, however, besides my rear fender and sidescoop, that total also includes my entire mirror assembly replaced, front fender and sideskirt reshaped(or probably replaced), along with my door and the rest of the passenger side of my car wet sanded, prepped, primed, and painted. So i would imagine, and this is purely a guess, somewhere around 800 to 1000, and i stress thats purely a guess from someone who has never worked in a body shop

Can i get a pic of that today or after? ^^ Because yours is allot like mine? And i guess i need to figure out how much they charge for side scoops to be replaced because i probably could get them cheaper. Or maybe get a GT set..

i'll take a pic tomorrow in the daylight, but if i didn't kno the car was repaired and repainted, i don't think i would be able to tell by looking at it and i've never had anybody ask if any work was done to the passenger side

Also i can't really tell from the pictures, is there any damage to the sidescoop or not, it almost looks salvageable.

The rear quarter can be replaced, but I doubt any insurance company would pay that much.

A good body shop can easily match the paint...They should just blend the whole car. Ya it cost money to have the whole car blended to match, but it will look a whole lot better in the end.

No offense, but I never understand why people come onto a forum to ask us how much a body shop would charge for a repair. I understand that some people are curious, buy why not wait and take it to an actual body shop for a real estimate?

Anyway, the damage isn't that damn bad. I was expecting worse and I've seen much, much worse.

A: I don't see how it couldn't be.
B: Obviously it would be replaceable if you replaced that section, because you'd be replacing the entire section.
C: I have no clue, I do not work at a body shop.
D: Depends on where you go. If you go to a cheap-*** place and don't mind having peeling paint in a few years, maybe a few hundred or so. If you go to a reputable place, probably closer to a grand or more.

I wouldnt worry about the price. Your story indicates it wasnt your fault so it wont be coming out of your pocket. Let the other dude worry about the headache.

Yes i know i should have taken it to a body shop but all the nearby body shops were closed saturday, and sunday when i had time, ALL body shops are closed. MY parents talked to a auto body dealer in temple today so hopefully they have good news. And im definatly taking it to a reputable dealer.

Just take it to a body shop whenever you can. It doesn't matter how much it's going to cost if the other party is going to pay for it. It's not really all that bad. You guys gotta stop being overly dramatic about little damage.
