ok lets say you locked your keys in your car. someone else has the second set of keys. all you gotta do is call their cellphone from yours, put your phone right up against the antenna. then they take the second set of keys, and press it up against the phone (only works for me when keys are pressed against the bottom). once its pressed up against the phone, press unlock. the signal from the keys goes through your phone, to the other persons phone, then to the antenna of the car and unlocks the car. i just tried this and its proven to work. AMAZING

We all know what i'm doing at work tomorrow.....lol...my question is how does this work. The signal just cant be the same.......and if this is the case you could most likely program you phone to unlock your car through like a voice mail of someone talking and pressing the unlock button......so many test not enough cell phone minutes...lol...this is cool

it's IMPOSSIBLE....completley different signal type and wave lengths...I tried it.

You're keyring remote just probably sends it farther than you thought...and it seemed like it went through the phone...mine has worked from about 200 ft away

... i want to try... lol Or maybe i will just stick my other set of keys up against a satelite dish lol
there is some random ****that works... someone once told me that if you take your fob and hold it against youre chin and open your mouth, and press unlock/panic/lock what have you, the range is increased... i didnt believe it at all, i caleld him a ****ing moron and a *****, then i tried it and it worked. i never apologized lol, just expressed my disbelief
even then, is the signal for you fob brought in through your antenna? is that what the swirl is?

it deff works for me. my car is on my driveway. i went behind my house and did it. still worked. but i tried it at school today with my friends phone and it didnt work? i guess it depends on the phones you have. or how good the signal is or something. and i know its working through the phone cuz when i pull my phone away from my keys and do it, it no longer works. o well. all i know is ill never have to worry about being stranded.

try it from a further distance... like down at the corner store, where you really would have locked your keys in your car...

has anyone tried it from more than 100-200 ft away? you say you wont be stranded ever, but you're trying it from behind your house. Someone drive to a store or something and then try it...or i will at some point this weekend. Then i'll believe it does anything.

wow this would be cool...only if i had a spare keypad! i only have a spare key! :censored:

i dought it would work over a mile...and why is my range so bad compared to others...mine only works from like 20 ft away...makes me sad when i dont lock it and have to walk all the way back to the car to lock it

Kids today....you guys are soooo guliable.

Did you guys hear about the Pop Rocks and Pepsi?
How about flashing your lights at night to the guy coming the other way?
Did you know that if you send this email to 10 of your friends you will have 20 years of fortune and good luck?

Trust me, it does not work.

Now, if you really want a solution for locking your keys in your car....
either carry a spare in your wallet next to your condom or join AAA.

yeah, but a spare key wouyld be HUGE? unless you could have one ground that doesnt have the chip in it, and ould be as thin as any other key, after all, you only need to open the door, not turn the car on...
I have a card that says i have been a AAA member since 1993 or something, you know, when i was 5

or find a bunch of other ford owners. there are only 10 different key patterns made by ford so you have a 10% chance of finding one that will open your car.

Huh, who told you that?
When I worked in the Parts Dept at my local Ford dealership, our key code book was over 200 pages. There are THOUSANDS of different patterns.

otherwise i would just go around clicking my fob at other mustangs parked on the street, given if your key is in your car the fob wont work, but the fob would work for the car sitting on the street lol
One time i was getting ready to leave a local eatery in my parents sebring and i hit the unlock key, and a subaru infront of the store's alarm went off, i thought the guy standing next to the car accidentally set it off... nope, we tried it several times, it's panic just kept going off
