uhhhh...mustang and corvette comparisons on every single board I visit.....so irratating...

is the GT500 too heavy?! hell yes

should it be compared to a sports car?! hell no

Would I buy a new z06?! hell yes

Would I buy a gt500? depends on markup.....at 42k hell yes....with 20k dealer markup...thats a BIG HELL NO!

a 12.25 isn't horrible for a car that weighs what it weighs though

Best time was 12.25 @117 with a 0-60 of 4.3...Braking was pretty impressive as well 60-0 in 110FT for a car that heavy.

But I also heard the Road n Track magazine had the Shelby doing a 13.1....I will wait to see what Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords can do with it!

Regardless the Shelby is a fat pig and needs to go on a serious diet.....it looks like so far the 03/04 Cobra is still the KING!!!!!!
I'm surprised how ford managed to build a 500 HP car that can't break away from mid to high 12's......

hmmmm.....that is coming directly from SVT.....I'll wait to see some more independent tests....not saying the tests aren't accurate, just to see what that fat pig can do for real. I think Muscle Mustangs should be doing a test next month or so we'll see!

I hope it's not another 1999 Cobra debacle!!!!!
