Matt, first of all. I hate you for makming this a sticky. Now I have to look at it and drool all the time.
Watch the one video with Carrol driving the thing. At the end there is a Japanese executive sitting next to him. I am not sure what that means, but I bet you would not see that in 1968.

Yea I know you seen the displacment on that. Bye bye 4.6, hello 5.4 whith screw top. Rumor was that the next years GT offers 4.6 or 5.4 and I see its becoming partly true. I WILL own one, and if its available in mystichrome, I will be first on the list.
Such a SWEET car and its going to be walkin the c6 vette. As for the 06 z06, I wouldnt even try, because its not going to happen unless youve got 2k+ into the engine of the new cobra, which is going to be the same as that I imagine.
Also for those of you who are observant - is that the new ford lightning that we are given a sneak peak of?

There is no way that will sell for 35K. The sticker has to be higher than that or they are gonna take off some stuff.
It will be higher than the current 04 Cobras cost. My guess is it will be 39,999 base + whatever options.

of course the price is gunna go up with over 450 hp and tq plus with the suspension and all the new things added to this cobra then before its gunna have to be more. my guess is that like 04DarkShadowGT said that they will start at about 40000 but if u get it with all the good extras your prob looking at around 46-48k

guys...just think....(I realized this today)..
R&T did another mustang test recently and got it to do 4.9 0-60. thats with 300 hp. Add 150 HORSEPOWER/TORQUE!!! stir well. We are looking at low 4's. Beating old vipers and z06's. Is it possible to do 3's stock? I know theyll be easily done with some mods and more boost. Imagine the possibilites...

I dont know how honest our local svt dealership is, but my dad already told them to start a list and wants the first one around here... hes putting in his order for one January. Hes already talked to an SVT Rep about it.

As for the Z06, its a great car but not unbeatable. GT500 with a good driver could make a Z06 look bad in the 1/4. IMO it would be a driver's race, particularly since the GT500's specs look quite conservative. From what I hear, 510+ hp is but a tuning session away...
