No, I wasnt hurt or anything. I had to do clinical time for EMT. It was pretty cool even though it was a 3-11 shift on sunday when it was 85 degrees out.

We had a heroin overdose patient. Paramedics gave two sets of 2 doses of narcan to counteract his drug. He came back for 30 seconds then went back down. Basically we hooked him up and just had to monitor him. He stayed stable and got transported out of ER and up to the other rooms.

We had a lady come in with what we thought was pedal adema which actually turned out to be a blood clot and broken tib/fib. They didnt know untill they gave a scan. She was pretty funny being an old lady. She was complaining that she was cold so one of the nurses went to get warm blankets and she asked where they were. We said they were coming and she said "so is christmas". haha she was just an older unhappy lady.

Had a lady come in with 1st degree burns to face, 2nd to chest, smashed in the face with a frying pan, and smashed in the hand with a golf club. Wasnt really too bad but she had some serious pain to the face. Face was just red, had a knot on her head, and chest had a couple blisters. hand was swollen as well. She went home about 4 hours later.

We had a couple other small things but nothing too serious. All in all it was pretty fun and great learning experience. Now I have to pass our schools final for EMT plus the National Registry.

Thought you said old for a minute there, anyway do you have to be available for witness or anything, when you see obvious abuse like that? Dam people get beat up at home too much IMHO. You shouldn't have to spend a nice weekend in the ER cause you got beat up in your own home.. :censored:
