Default Car back from the dead.....

Stopped by Kauffmans today and got to see Dave dyno the car... It was neat. That guy really knows his stuff.

For those that don't remember, the car has been dead due to three bad rings and I had to get the motor replaced and then the blower installed.

The car looks and sounds amazing. The Novi-2000 has thus far proved very easy to tune as Dave seemed to have nailed it on four pulls. He may fine tune more tomorrow, but I am not sure.

Looks like I am at about 380 rwhp. I asked for a conservative tune and while Dave could have easily gotten the car to the much acclaimed 400 hp level, I am very happy with the results. I will actually end up with 4 tunes with everything from a street tune, wife tune, and a vallet tune. The vallet tune won't allow the car to go over 60 mph and the wife tune will be good for those days when you suspect bad fuel.

I have not driven the car as of yet, but will pick up tomorrow.

on the valet tune you should also set the rev limiter at like 2500 rpms so nobody can do burnouts in your car.

thats awesome that you got it back together so fast. and an amazing deal on the motor.

Well, I picked-it up today. Glad to have it back. The guys at Kauffmans seem to have done a great job. I ended up spending a lot more then I thought by the time all was said and done, but the car is insane.

Dave seemed to have nailed the tune. The car is one fast mofa, but very streetable.

I will put up the dyno chart on another forum later tonight. I ended up right at 380 rwhp and when you factor in the 4.10's, it is prolly more like 385 - 390. The best part is that I am only running around 8 lbs of boost which is really conservative. The car sounds sick and now has the power.

The car runs better now then it ever did!

Anybody in need of a shop in the NE, please consider Kauffmans.

Well, West Chester is near Philly, right? Kauffmans is south of Harrisburg. So I would say about 90 - 120 minute drive.

They take credit card but do not due alignments. Is the place clean? It is a shop. There is no "showroom" so it pretty much looks like a shop. The dyno room is clean and empty.
