LOL easy there, Im only 18, Im saying Im paying my car off so I can start earning money, instead of getting paid, and then throwing it all into my car. Instead of a car payment, it will go to an IRA instead... Retiring at 45 > driving a fast mustang at 18.

if you retire at 45, whatre you gonna do the rest of the 25-35 years youre alive?? I also look at it like when I get married, I'll likely hafta sell my car, so instead of going thru a midlife crisis, I'd rather just have my fun/fast car right now for the next few years

Who cares, if I do it right, it WONT MATTER what I decide to do at 45. Im getting a degree in engineering, I work for the state of SC already, when I do my time, I can either stay on, or if I feel like it, go get another job, or just live richly on my investment returns and spend ridiculous money at Barrett Jackson (which hopefully will be out of business by the time I get to retirement). Im just trying to say, dont take a loan out for a blower. If you have the money, spend it, Tims tune is rock solid and youll be fine until you decide to up the ante with a forged block. Just dont get a loan thinking "oh Ill have the money to build the rear, the tranny, etc etc." Ask any of the guys that build fast cars, and they'll tell you, it doesnt matter if you win by an inch...oh wait, wrong saying lol jk. If you ask any of the guys that spend the big bucks, the thing they will tell you is that when creating a budget, double it and add like 20 % for all the BS that is almost garunteed to come up. Thats all im trying to say.

Nitrous is definately a cheap way for good power.

But AGAIN, nitrous will shorten the life of the motor, just as a blower will. Now maybe not as much or possibly even quicker depending how harsh you are with it.

I've mentioned I could get a blower this summer, I could definately get nitrous along with all the goodies with a good sum left over. Perfect plan..... but mine's a DD and I know I would use the nitrous a lot, so for anyone whoes DD and DEPENDS on there car day in and day out, I would suggest staying N/A until you can afford another car or have a healthy bank account for a car emergency. My $.02

When it comes to shortening the life of the motor, a typical life of a healthy motor is 100k miles. Now, I will likely sell my car when I get a family. However, if I keep it, it'll either be a weekend fun car, or I'd have a built engine(either upgraded, or just a new one like from MPH) and with those upgrades will come upgrades/replacements for tranny, rear end, etc.

you dont have much faith in american engineering do ya? LOL.
you should be able to pull 150k if you take care of the car.

Why would you have to sell your car when you start a family?? if your going to sell it dont put all this money into it now, if your going to put all this money into it, plan on keeping it for a long time, whats the point of putting all this time and money into a car if your going to sell it???

and i dont think you should put a blower in if your still paying on it, if its paid off keep it and keep it nice, it will be worth plenty of money later on if you take good care of it

i plan getting my car fixed up and nice and strong and then getting a daily driver and have my car as a weekend car, cuz if i was to get rid of it i would get nothing for it as would you
