Warranty anyone?

Warranty anyone?
Well I still have quite some mileage to go before my warranty runs out on my Mustang. I had my 01 for about 4 months before I took the cats off and put the headers, etc on and well that part of the warranty was over with. I was just wondering how many of you have void the warranty on your car so far. I really want to get an o/r X pipe to match up to my new catback but was thinking about my warranty and all. Would the X pipe only void the warranty on my exhuast? I have heard some horror stories about warranty work with certain mods from the Ford places, and don't want to go in that book.
I also have a set of 4.10's in my room, but the warranty would be out of question as soon as they found out I had different gears in.

great questions....I wish Ford had a 1-800 number for modding cars...I mean they know people do it...in fact Ford is going to be CRAZY this year at SEMA...with that much support for the aftermarket, they need to be more open with their stand on warranty issues....

When I bought my stang the mods started at 19K miles! I started with gears than proceeded to get a mac o/r H, mac CAI and some weld on flows! Then I got a shifter and pulleys! At 30k my A/C took a dump and I took it to my nearest ford house to get it checked out! Turned out my compressor was ****ed! The guyz fixed it without any problems and didn't say nothing about voiding the warranty! ...they even complimented my car and said it sounded Good! .....it just depends where you take your car!

I just got my car a few months ago - was delivered to me with 40 miles on it. At first I was concerned with voiding the warranty but i have decided to take my chances. It's a Mustang - even Ford knows they are going to be modified. I put the SLP X pipe on and I love it. Thanks MT! I think if you want it, do it

I'm sure if all the dealers went "by the book" They would find many warranty infractions. That's how big corporations like the auto industry can make money. I work for an automotive supplier and believe me Ford, GM, and Chrysler can be notorious for getting a buck from any avenue possible.. IMHO,
