Default mp3 Converter?

What is the best converter out there (free).

Got tons of CD's I would like to put on my puter.

Believe it or not, Windows Media Player has a fairly decent ripper built in...for free...at least Version 10.0 does...

I just use iTunes...also free

Why wouldn't you just use iTunes? It's the fastest and best music ripper/organizer IMO, and it's free.

I've never tried it, I might have to check it out...but then again Windows Media Player does everything I need it to...

Why? Cause I have a problem installing anything on my PC that is Mac based.

Yep, I even have an Ipod and refuse to install Itunes. I use the winamp pluggin instead.

freerip mp3 is the best Ive used. It automatically tags the music for you too so you dont have to manually put in everything. You just set up the format youd like to see tagged and let er rip.

I always just put my cds in and click rip in wmp, works great
