Default Order Question

Approx. 24 hrs. ago I placed my first order with MT and have a question. How long does it usually take them to ship the average order? The reason I ask is my credit card has been charged but I don't know if my order has been shipped because I have not received any kind of shipping confirmation. I also placed an order with Tire Rack at the same time and they have already sent me an order confirmation, called me twice and sent me shipping confirmation. Thanks for the input.

if you read their front page you will see they are having problems due to the weather. I've ordered from them 3 times in the past month and they have always shipped the next day. Cept for my sct computer of course, They shipped 3 days later after tuning.

what did you order??

I just looked at their home page and didn't see anything about shipping problems. Regardless, if I'm spending over 700 hard earned dollars at your company, the LEAST you could do is e-mail personally and let me know you are having problems with shipping. That would be what I call excellent customer service. I ordered a set of Chrome '03 Cobra rims. I was hoping to have my new rims and tires on this weekend, guess not. Sh*t, for $35 Tire Rack is going to have my tires sitting on my doorstep by Wednesday. I haven't given up hope yet.....I'll give MT the benefit of the doubt......for now.

Right in the middle. How could you miss it??

www.mustangtuning.com

28-FEB-05: We are currently in the clutches of a vicious nor’easter that is dumping heavy amounts of snow on us. Mustang Tuning will be closing early today due to area road closings and severe travel safety issues. We expect shipping and customer service delays for the remainder of this week due to this storm, and will be working diligently the next several days to remedy these situations as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience while we play catch-up in the aftermath of this storm.
This Weekend?? They usually ship next day. But i doubt unless you paid $200+ for FEDEX 2day service you'll get rims by the weekend. Im 60 miles south of them. I didnt get my FEDEX shipments today. I have to go pick them up in the morning if i want them. The north east is getting blanketed with snow.

I swear that statement wasn't there earlier when I looked. I'm just north of Baltimore and we are getting snow like everyone else. Like I said, they could have sent a courtesy e-mail out to customers with pending orders like myself. I wonder if it's too late to cancel my order............ :dontknow:

it was there for a couple of days. right after i ordered something it showed. Im in delaware. Pennsylvania get's 4 times the snow of Delaware and baltimore if not more.

If this is your first order these are good guys, they get everything out fast. Their sister company is www.xoxide.com computer parts, if you ever ordered from them you know they get your stuff out fast.

Give them a call tomorrow if you wanna cancel if they havnt shipped yet. They've done me right the last 3 times. If they got your card then your order went through and im sure they did their best to get it out. That's what sold me on ordering from them after my first time. They shipped within 24 hours.

Dont bother calling. I will answer your question......THEY ARE A LITTLE BEHIND DUE TO THE HARSH WEATHER AND SO FORTH. Your order will ship ASAP. Give em a break. And I wouldnt think they would have to email u to let u know of the delay....ITS POSTED ON THERE FRONT PAGE ...as u can see.

Its been posted pretty much since the 24th. :tard:

Well f*ck you too. Excuse the hel* outta me. I know they don't "have" to e-mail me, BUT, it sure would be a nice gesture. The weather didn't stop them from taking my money. It's funny that this "harsh weather" didn't interfere with Tire Rack getting my shipment out on time with no delays (and yes they are being hit w/this bad weather also, they're shipping from Delaware). This thread was not intended to bash anyone, it started out as simple inquiry because I had never ordered from them before. However, with that said......there's always one f*cking as*shole in every group.

Let me start off by saying that all of the moderators are not paid by MT or receive any Discounts or any compensation what so ever. We do this for the love of the hobby. That being said, this is not Tire Rack and the forum is not an order status line or a soap box to shout about the store front. No one here has access to orders or direct line to MT store. We know from our experience that MT ships fast when items are in stock but like any other company you are at the mercy of the manufacturer if not in stock, shipping service or weather. If you are the inpatient type emailing or calling to ask if items are in stock should be your SOP (standard operating procedure). I have leaned not to schedule my projects around internet orders as you can not say when it will be delivered with so many variables. We all understand how you feel, you want to get the parts on your stang to see how it looks. There are a bunch of great guys and gal here at the forum and we want to help you and anyone else that wants to be helped. After 9/11 companies do not have the revenue to hire more staff due to our weaken economy. Go to your local store and look at how many open registers there are. In this day and age we have to learn to have a little bit of compassion and patience with each other which is missing in today’s society. This thread is closed.
