in school today we were talkin about the president and within the next 6 months we are probally going to war with Iran!!!! that would sucks really bad!!! there would def. be a draft and damn that pisses me off!!!

 

Well, I think our Pres has done a horrible job and has done a lot of shady shady shady things and is a total bully.......We shouldn't have gone to Iraq in my opinion, but I will tell you that the more I read up on Iran the more they seem to be scary. I don't like war and don't advocate for it at all, but I would support partnering with Isreal and sending a few air strikes to take out their nuclear sites and that's it. We don't need to send troops in.....Isreal did this in the early eighties.

 

I highly doubt it would come down to a draft, but we shall see.

If theres a draft and your a full time college student you're excempt.....i highly doubt will have a draft though...

 

Everything he just said I disagree with, 110%. Chances are the US won't go to war with Iran because we're streched too thin as it is, I think that Bush has done the best that he can in our current time, and twenty years from now the opinion of Bush will be different than all the negativity today.

i dont agree with bush doing the best he could, but i do agree with us probably not going to war with Iran. there are so many other countries ready to stand up and stop Iran that i doubt we will have to. if we do, it will be a very minor part imo.

 

You are guys are idiots who think we're gonna go to war. First off, nobody knows for sure, but the likelyhood of doin a draft again....is insane. Also, they did the draft in the 1st place because of not enough willing to fight. Well now, decades later, the population(and therefore, those going into the service) has increased exponentially.


...besides, if there is a draft, you can always plead insanity...

Also, I'm nt sure if you were jokingh about impeaching the president, but impeaching doesn't get rid of him. Impeaching is just kinda like putting in timeout while the rest of the govt decides if he should be removed. It was either nixon or reagan..one of them got impeached, but he resigned before they could throw him out.


anyways, they didnt get rid of the pres back when they had WWI or WW2, so why now?

I think that we needed to go into Iraq. Unfortunatley we didnt conduct the war the way we should have. There is to much political correctness in this country today. We are more worried about what other people are going to think about us especially the enemy. We shouldent have needed troops on the ground. What we needed to do was bomb the place back to the stone age. And that is exactly what we need to do with Iran as well. Those people hate us and everything that we believe in. All you see on the news is death to america. They would cut your head off too if they had the chance whether you like Bush or not. And i still think there are enough brave people that would volunteer before a draft was needed. I am one of them. We need to stop the useless bickering and do what needs to be done period.
