If you lower your car, you'll get unwanted camber gain that ends up wearing the tires a little quicker to really fast. Depends on the car and the amount of lowering. To avoid that, a proper alignment done with a set of good quality (maximum motorsports only please) Caster Camber plates.

Lowering a Fox3 or Fox4 mustang more than 1.5" up front without several supporting modifications leads to a really poorly handling car that's jittery as all hell. If you want to see how to build your suspension for your level of pleasure, see the maximum motorsports web site and decide how far you want to go.
