Default Problem... Need help ! ! !

I have an 2002 gt 5spd. and my problem is that whenever i driver like 15 or more miles or just arrands, my rear end makes weird noises. It almost sounds like it it grinding especially when at low speeds and conering. I have no idea what the problem it. the car had 25K on it and i just changed the gear lube to make sure it wasnt the problem. The drain plug did'nt have any metal shavings on it so i was just wondering if this if normal or what?

If it's making the noise more when cornering then it could be a wheel bearing.

When you changed the gear oil did you add friction Modifier. http://www.brothersperformance.com/s...fmm19546a.html

check your pads and rotors. The calipers are known to seize on the sliders and causes the pad to constantly wear against the rotor. Had this same problem on my 99. Might not be the problem but something to check.

I had the same problem with my 03. It was under warranty and I took it to the dealer and they warrantied it. They replaced the clutch packs in the rear end. Most likely it is just that they forgot to put posi additive in the rear end from the factory, I knew this but took it in and got clutch packs for the hell of it.

i used royal purple gear lube they say on the bottle that it has friction modifier in it already. So no i didn't add anything to it. I took it to the dealer while still under warrenty and they said that nothing was wrong with any part of the driveline. Its hard to beleive that when the rear end makes weird *** noises... i guess it just gives me an excuse to buy gears then huh?
