When i got out of work tonite my key would not turn in the ingination. I fooled around with it for 20 minutes then if finally started. but when i go home and tried again it still wouldnt start

 

Its your steering wheel lock mechanism. Jerk your steering wheel left and right a couple of times and it should work. If not, hold it right or left all the way and try it.

 

i did all that and it still doestn work

 

Hmm, you might have a problem somewhere then with that. You might also want to check how your car is in gear. Personally I havent had problems like that but I work for a chevy cadillac and saab dealership and ive seen other cars have that problem and the way the car is in gear or the way the steering wheel is locked is the cause of the problem.
