I just bought an 84 Mustang GT from a guy yesterday and he says that he was driving to work when his clutch cable snapped. He claims that when he took the car in to the shop he had all 5 gears but after they installed the clutch cable, he lost 3rd and 4th. I' prepared to have the tarnny rebuilt but I don't have any grinding or noises at all when I put it in gear so I'm wondering if that is actually the problem. I was thinking maybe linkage but I'm open to any ideas/insight anyone might have!
