Well thats shitty. Did you break in the tranny properly when it was first installed or did you romp it out of the shop? Well drop the K member and hopefully you have the longtubes that give access to the tranny.

pointers?

take your time...

get some tunes to listen to... and some beers/ or coffee... and have fun... tranny is light... not too hard...

also have several extensions and swivel joints at hand...

I had actual used a ratchet wrench on a few bolts that was helpful...

actually it was a used one that i got real cheap so im not too pissed and i did give it hell, I got a new one now with a warranty so i shouldnt have too much problems, but i basically have all winter to do this and ill have help from my cousin that goes to UTI (universal technical institute) who has done this a couple of times so it shouldnt be too hard... in a way im pissed but im happy ill get some experience in with this, for future references with changing the clutch

well got home tonight at about 12 and decided to jack the car up and see how hard it would be and got to work, took the h-pipe off, shifter boot, shifter, driveshaft and 2 out of the 5 transmission bolts out, couldnt believe how easy it was, the 3 last bolts ill need to get some swivel sockets and maybe another extention, but they are definately reachable, then gotta diconnet all the eltrical connections and take the crossmember off and drop the trans and put the new one in
man thats a relief

biggest tip I can give you is to remove the shifter and leave it off until after the tranny is mounted. The shift handle always makes it a PITA to get the tranny to spline into the clutch. Don't fill it till you have it installed.

I just finished changing my tranny (T-56 ) and the only things that made my swap a PITA were the fact that we did it a foot off the ground on jack stands, and that my original pilot bearing had destroyed itself, so we couldn't pull it out, so we had to chisel it out bit by bit, but your car is much newer, u won't have that issue. Shouldn't be too bad for ya, go slow, don't forget anything, you will be fine.

yeah i gave up on it today, too much of a pain with the LT's, i got everything unhooked but there wasnt enough room to pull out the trans, the headers were in the way, have to drop the k memeber, dont feel like doing that so i am taking it back to the shop and have them do it, they are going to try to cut me a deal cuz im a little low on cash, and ive spent a crap load of money there... ill tell you if it wasnt for the headers, i would have gotten it out a long time ago.

BTW anyone that is doing this changing a clutch or anything, to get the top bolts out unhook the cross member and the trans will sag about 2 inches and the bolts are much easier to get to
