your car has to be stock ride height for long tubes?

Well long tubes do hang down more than stock exhaust so ya need to watch how low it is. Also, longtubes might not be the best idea, most stangs ya have to pull them off to drop the transmission, ya may want to look at mid length headers.

i bought the flowtechs and just now heard this may be a problem.

If you take it slow, youll be fine. Also, some longtubes dont require pulling the tranny, so dont worry, your flowtechs allow you to pull the trans. without pulling the pass. side header. Every car can benefit from longtubes, they are a great bolt on, just a pain in the bum.

i'm worried bout ground clerance. if they don't guess old springs will return.

Same issue here thats why I went with Hookers as you can remove tranny with headers on.
