Anyone heard of "wide spread" TB / Drive-By-Wire problems on '05 & '06 models?

A background of this post can be read here:

Basic jist: Last Friday after driving for 20 minutes and turning the car off to do some shopping, I started it back up and the message center quickly popped a "Failsafe Engine Mode" message. But, it just as quickly disappeared, and the car ran fine. Took it too dealer and they said couldn't really do anything without it actually being in Failsafe mode. Said it may just be a faulty sensor read due to it happening at the time of start up.
Well, yesterday, it happened again, only it was while I was actually driving. Took it back to dealer and my service rep was talking and he mentioned that "...it's probably related to the Drive By Wire set up. It sometimes has a problem working with the throttle body. We have had several come in throwing a Failsafe and they've all turned out to be Drive By Wire related."
I hhevn't heard from them yet today, but it's still way to early for that.
I'll update when I hear from them, but I wanted to see if any of you have heard anything about this thru various grapevines.

Talked to the dealer yesterday. Service Rep said they either drove it around or had it running in the shop while hooked up to the scanner, just about all day yesterday but they couldn't get it to go into Failsafe Mode. He says as this is a whole new design that's pnly about a year old, they haven't had much experience with it yet, so they can't just say "Oh yeah, it's this and that, etc".
But, he did say that the ones they have worked on, it's been a problem with the Throttle Body mis-communicating with the PCM. It's either trying to open without the PCM knowing or "authorizing" it, or it's not opening when the PCM is telling it too. He said they also think in my particular case it's Throttle Body related, because while the car won't go into Failsafe Mode for them, they are getting several different error codes that all relate to the Throttle Body.
So, new Throttle Body was supposed to be over-nighted for delivery this morning. Hopefully it's ready by lunch.
