Default Continuous alternator probs. =(

Alright so today makes the 5th alternator that has died in my car. The trend seems to be 1 alternator per year. 3 of the previous alternators came out of junkyards, one was a H.O. alt, and the one that just went out was the H.O. rebuilt after it went bad.

I put a new alt on today from advanced auto, and it sounds like my car has a centrifugal supercharger at low RPM. I don't know why every alternator sounds like it's under so much strain. Also I dont know why they keep going bad.

What can cause alternators to go bad so often? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. My shirt is tight.

Couldn't tell you, but maybe try a new OEM alternator and not one from a junk yard that you have no idea how long it's been used. Sometimes going cheap isn't always best.
