Default First Car. Should i get a Mustang?

Hey guys, im 20 years old and i still dont have a car. So im going to get one this summer but only have $7000 or $8000 to spend. I dont know much about cars however. I do know is that i like to go fast haha. Im not gonna be racing but i like the feel of accelerating fast and going a little over the speed limit. So, what car do you think would be good for that price and my first car. How many miles should it have on it, etc. Im looking at a ford mustang from 2003-2004. Ive never driven one but are they really fun to drive? The ones im looking at have around 100,000 miles on it and are v6. Some are v8. Is there a big difference between them? Thanks!

As far as Mustangs go, I suggest a new edge GT... that's any Mustang made from 99-04. New edge GT's are cheap nowadays, and it would be a good starter car for getting involved with Mustangs and modding. Don't get a V6... if it comes down to it, just by some other type of car. I'm not hating on a 6, but most new edge V6's are too old and abused since they've been around so long. The GT would be a good one for you, because it's not fast enough to get you killed, but fast enough to do what you're wanting it too.

Now, moving on to non-mustang cars... I'd suggest anything with good gas mileage, and something that can take corners well.
