NEED HELP IMMEDIATELYY!!!!!
Ive spent all night putting my 8.8 in.
And rednecks been right about the control arms and all that. I have the 8.8 in place and bolted down. I just have one MAJOR problem. and a minor one.
The minor problem is finding where the ABS sensors plug in. I think its underneath the rear seat.
The major problem is my brakes.
I went to put my calipers on and the piece that holds the brake pads is holding them higher than the rotor is tall. The pads stick out a 1/2 inch over the rotor, so half of the pads are touching and the other half isnt.
Will I have to use 98 model brackets?
I used the little spacer that was hooked to my rear to fasten the calipers down.
Everything went back in EASIER than it came out as well.
I'm going to an autoparts store soon and taking my bracket with me to see if theres any difference in the way its made cause my calipers just arent going to work.
The rear end is also dry, so I'm going to get some friction adder and grease and put in it.
Any insight would be nice.
But i'm thinking if it is a cobra axle the caliper brackets may be made to sit higher due to the taller rotors,, is this true??

Im using v6 rotors, the 8.8s mounting because it cant be removed. Theres a little black thing thats on my 7.5 but i took it off and when tightened down it doesnt line up.
I put mach 1 rotors on it, and they lined up PERFECT, but i tightened my caliper bracket down and it made them twist sideways. So its all messed up. This has went completely horrrible. Im just saying screw it, taking it off, taking it back to the guy, and going to a junkyard and finding me two rear axles. and calling it a day. It'll prob be easier to change axles with the rear end out anyways.

Dude, it will work. The Mach1 rotors are too thick for your stock calipers. Your going to need either Cobra/Mach/Bullitt calipers, or just use the Cobra pads and use a spacer and clearance your stock caliper to fit. You can take the 8.8 axle to caliper bracket off, should be 4 nuts behind the axle hub. You have to remove the axles to get to them. Then you can put your 7.5 bracket on and use your stock rotors and calipers.

Don't fret, we'll get you up and running. The first thing you have to understand is nothing goes totally according to plan.
First: Get me a picture of what's going on so I know for sure that I send you the right direction.
Now, cobra caliper brackets are taller and you need cobra/bullit/mach rear rotors which are bigger in width and diameter. You'll need cobra rear calipers OR you can whittle off a bit of the brake pad and have the rotor turned and it should clear... mine did.
Yes, the ABS sensors plug in under the rear seat. There's a little lock under the front lip of the seat in the middle of the seating position on both sides. Stick a screwdriver in it and it'll unlock and you can pull the rear seat bottom out to access them. They're connected to the bulkhead.. you'll see them.
I'm PM'd you my digits. Call me if you need a voice on a phone to make you feel better.
