I got an 88 vert yhat I have torn apart inside. There are a set of 80 seats with new fabric and foam I am getting in the morning for 100 dollars. Front and back. They didn't come out of a convertible but it is still a foxbody so should I have any problems putting them in?

 

The only difference is the convertible seats have the little arm attached to hold the seat belt since there isn't a B-pillar to bolt the bracket to.

 

hmm, been a little while since i tore it apart. i don't remember exactly how that arm is attached. i am assuming the arm is transferable. it is dark and my top part of the back seat is in the trunk. the car has a cover tied down on it now other wise i would go out there and look for myself

 

Actually, I'm thinking of the seats I have in my '88 which are out of a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. It's been so long since I was in a Fox Mustang convertible that I can't remember if they had the belt arm or not. I don't think they did.

 

yea, i couldn't remember any arm on them. as i recall, the belts were bolted to the car not the seats. anyway it doesn't matter because the seats were crap. it pisses me off when people try to pass off stuff on craigslist that isn't true. look at the seats in this ad. i don't live in houston so i had my dad go and try and pick them up today. his time and gas to do me a favor. he got over there and said the seats were old looking had rust on the bottom and the back seat bottom had cigarette burns in it. look at this ad and tell me if i was not wrong in thinking i was getting a great set of seats with new foam and fabric. that is what the ad says right

look at these seats in the picture. my dad said they looked nothing like this. partly faded and old looking with cigarette burns. what a waste of time
