Default Battery/Alarm issue...

Soooo I went to basic training for the army in nov, come back for my xmas break and my car isnt starting...

my parents are, well... mentally slow i guess... they tried to unlock my car using the keyless entry but it wasnt working because the battery died in the remote...so they unlock car manually, well when that happens...the alarm goes off

they decided to let the car battery die...genius i kno. Sooo I come back and they recharge battery but atm, the positive isnt connected to the battery, because when it connects...the car alarm goes off and I cannot turn it off with the keyless entry, car wont start or anything..

what do i do? is there a way to just remove the alarm without splitting wires? (alarm should be factory...lil red bulb in my dash next to speedometer) or is there a way to fix it?

--- I was told to disconnect the negative, then connect positive first...then negative and the keyless will work...but my negative is corroded beyond belieft, been using Wd40 and a toothbrush trying to scrub it off but isnt working..

help plz...

I would completely disconnect the battery, and try to turn on the headlights, let it sit for a while. Reconnect the battery and see what happens.

Wire brush will help, Toothbrush is much much too soft. And yeah disconnect the battery completely and turn on the headlights, to reset the computer, then reconnect after 10-15min.

im assuming just turn headlights on to see i got battery? or am i keeping the lights on for 10min... then turn off, connect battery...(put positive on first, then connect negative...and disable alarm?)

went to Ace to get some wire brushes and def better than a toothbrush

Completely disconnect battery, turn headlights on for 10-15min or until the car is completely and utterly dead. Then Reconnect the battery, negative then positive i believe,(disclaimer not taking responsibility if you damage your car) :P for safe measure. When you reconnect the battery the alarm shouldnt even go off, if it does, try to turn it off if it wont, idk.

1. Completely disconnect your battery. 2. Turn headlights on for 10-15 mins. with the battery disconnected still. 3. Connect battery back to car. 4. Start car.

Hopefully the alarm doesn't go off.

I don't know which terminal to connect first. So try to use best judgement.

Bah, its easier than that even. Just Disconect your car, let it run dead, when its dead it will reset the computer in the car, then hook it back up and start it. Done.
