I picked up a Focus as a DD. I feel like an idiot, but I can not get the car unlocked with the key, without the alarm going off. When using the remote, it all works perfectly, so I'm pretty sure its something wrong with me, not the car. I turn the key full travel towards the front of the car, like the owner's manual says, but the horn starts to beep and then the alarm goes off. How can I get in the car w/o that happening?

My Explorer does the same thing. It's supposed to, I think, if the car is locked with the remote. I just use the keypad on the door to get in (wife's car and she has the only remote).

It will work fine if you do NOT lock the doors with the remote.
