Default Installing MM 4-bolt CC plates

Riiight, well I'm putting in some MM C/C plates, but I've run into a road block where I need to drill the fourth hole, I don't have my factory C/C plates to scribe the holes since I got rid of those when I got the STB...the local junkyard wants $25 for just the factory top pieces...**** that.

Is it imperative that the hole be positioned in the exact middle of where the two scribed holes intersect?

imperative?... not so much. Important yes. The fact that they're adjustable kinda allows for a bit of slop BUT the more slop the less adjustment capacity you have. Check your local mustang tuner.. see if they have any in the pile.

I would make it so the three stock placement bolts line up, and scribe around the fourth bolt, where the drilled hole needs to be. If three line up, it's pretty obvious that the fourth one needs to go there. If it came down to it I would ship you my stock plates.

This might sound retarded but couldn't you make a cardboard template of the one at the junk yard and just use that.

X2. You could also position the MM plate and use that as a template to get yourself in the ball park.

I forgot that 94-98 cars used the same setup so I just waited till my dad got back from work and ganked his CC plates. It's all done now. Gonna get that fender roller and an alignment tomorrow.
