I have a 2006 GT with a Steeda CAI and SCT Tune. Two weeks before registration renewal time I had to replace the battery and now I cannot pass an emissions test due to a "not ready" condition. I have put over 600 miles on the car over 6 days with both highway and city driving. I would have thought the drive cycle would have been complete by now. I'm concerned the SCT tune may be causing the "not ready" condition. Has anyone had any experience with this?

 

I'm not quite sure what a "not ready" condition is, but my advice would be to uninstall your tune, put your stock CAI back on and take the test again. After you take the test, reinstall everything. Should take about 20 minutes.

 

Yes its because of the SCT tuner. I'm assuming they plug the machine into the cars port. The SCT tune turns off the 02's etc. You need to return your car back to a stock tune drive about 50miles for everything to reset and then take it in and you will pass

Thanks Dave, I took your advice and just swapped in the stock intake, reflashed, drove 50 miles, passed and put the Steeda CAI back in. All in under 3 hours.
