Default Throttle Body/Spacer worth it?

So I am thinking of buying a throttle body and spacer I found on the American Muscle site for my 2008 Mustang GT Convertible.

My current performance mods (very minor): Steeda CAI, 91+ Octane Tune, Corsa Axlebacks.

I have some questions:

1. Which is the best ones for my car?
2. Since my car is basiclly stock will these modifications do anything for me?
3. Is this somehting I can install myself, I did the other stuff myself (except for the mufflers since the stock ones were actually welided on aparently).
4. I heard that the Throttle body and spacer could damage my engine, isd this true.
5. How much HP would this upgrade give me?

Any opinions are appreciated.

Thanks!

TB spacers really don't do anything at all save up and buy some gears for your rear end that will be something that you will really feel

The spacer is worth nothing. I have heard that with the throttle body you will notice alot better throttle response due to different gearing in the housing since the 05+ or drive by wire, there is a lag. Thats just what I've heard. I would spend my money on gears before that though.

Its not a worth while mod at all. Your money is better spent else where.

"supposed" to increase the velocity of the air coming in to the throttle body, make the incoming intake air more dense... I think it makes really good peanut butter also.

Even if it does becaues it's making it a little longer, you wont get much out of it. Not worth the money at least.

yeah it makes the peanut butter plenty long. But at the same time it doesnt reduce the amount of peanut butter you get out of it...

His next logical mod is either more exhaust work with long tubes etc.. or gears.

Partially right. The purpose is to make the plenum larger.

However, you won't see jack (maybe top end?) w/ a stock elbow up front. In addition, for it to actually have a benefit, it needs to be thick enough to actually cause a change in the plenum volume, and combine that w/ an aftermarket elbow and you have hood clearance issues. Really, I'd work on uncorking the heads and exhaust and removing the truck cam for a muscle car cam.
