Default Throttle Body VS Intake Spacer

I got out of the truck customizing and changed over to Mustangs and just started learning about a lot for them. A friend of mine told me about thottle body spacers and they are inexpensive to add easy HP to your car. I noticed MT has intake spacers and was wondering if there was a big difference. I found a combo on ebay with a throttle body and intake spacer. A little new on this guys so what would be the best way? Not wanting to dump a lot of money into the car right now. I just got deep dish bullits, it has an H pipe, and I just put a drop in K&N in it this weekend. Should I get the intake spacer from MT and if I do what should I expect out of it? Thanks.

personally i wouldnt do it...i will suggest getting the throttle body and plenum combo...I remember about 2 years ago that throttle body spacers(like helix powertower for trucks and what not) were dynoed to see if they gained power...they actually led to a loss of power(like 6-8hp, i cant remember how much torque was lost)...i know that we dont need spacers because they dont do anything but make noise and our heads have a piece in them that helps mix the air and gas

T/B spacers and intake spacers are worthless! Don't waste your money dude!

they aren't very effective on any multiport fuel injection system, carburetors, however are a different story

a throttle body/plenum combo already has the added intake space so its like a built in spacer.
Oh on another note, :sith: th post

LOL, he has nothing else to do, why not. Anyways, tb spacers are useless, except for making annoying sounds...save the money and buy a new shifter.

i had the intake spacer before my plenum/tb combo, the spacer did make it higher (even more higher than the tb/plenum combo) but i felt little or no gains out of it. the tb/plenum combo i definately noticed something
