what kind of gauges do you want to hook up? if you are going to put a speedo and tach in that panel, just use the existing wiring and it should hook right up unless stated other wise. as far as air/fuel ratio gauges and oil pressure, those are going to need some new sensors.

i know that people have done it say its not to hard, however you need to know how to do it the right way so you can get an accurate reading.

So you want to replace the entire instrument panel? Also, what year is your mustang?

is it really that easy? i've been pieceing together parts for a 5.4 swap and someone told me i had to go to a ford dealer and they had to use a WAMS machine or something like that

well i meant a dyno tuner could turn it off, im not sure if a handheld tuner can but prob not. Dyno tuner shouldnt even charge you tho ford will try to rape you

If your gonna get guages for that price why not get something like this below with the dual setup in the guage. Also you can swap back and forth between things and then if you want something more in depth you can just get the sensor kit for it? NOTE: I havent heard anything bad about them on SVTP. Not sure if anyone uses them here.

Like 01GT just said get the aeroforce gauges. It plugs into your OBD2 and can scroll through pretty much anything you could imagine without having to run a sensor for it, but some more intense things do require the sensor kit. My dad has two of them n his A-pillar and can see his boost, oil temp, coolant temp and he also has the rpm's set up to a shift light. I'd recommend that instead of doing a complete dash revamp unless you really want that. If so, you can get kits from Speedhut, or other related companies, that have an aluminum bevel that you can just insert the gauges into (some are 2 1/8 and others are a little bit larger, like the tach).
