Default Stock 11" vs. King Cobra

My car is due for a new clutch and since I need a new flywheel (don't trust it since my car flooded last year), I was thinking about getting the King Cobra. However, since my main concern is pedal effort (I do stop-and-go and even then the stock clutch is a pain sometimes), I was wondering if going this route will reduce the pedal effort as compared to the stock 11".

KC is so mild compared to others in its class I'd probably suggest that if pedal effort is your concern. It's a solid choice.

So, anyone else wants to throw in their opinion on what's softer, the stock 11" or King Cobra? From searching, I'm not sure if the King Cobra is going to suit my needs since I hear a mix of it being stiffer, the same, or softer than stock. Can someone who has gone from the stock 11" to the King Cobra provide their experience?

I went from stock to the king cobra. The pedal effort of the king cobra is much better, its way softer. Its much nicer to daily drive but still grabs way harder than the stock.

KC should have 15% lower pedal effort and quite a bit more holding capacity.

All right, looks like I will go w/ the King Cobra. Before I do, one last question. Because of the different set-up (namely because Ford used thinner disks for the 11"), would I also need to get a new pivot ball when I go w/ the the King Cobra or will I be fine w/ the stock one?

Hey guys, just found this screaming deal on eBay for a Hays 11" set-up:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts...4506.m20.l1116

The store's regular site has it for $180, which is still dirt cheap. In the interest of pedal pressure, would you think this would be lower, about the same, or greater than stock?

Well, I decided to get the Hays kit because it's tough to beat $70 for a clutch. However, today, when I was checking all the parts through, I've noticed that when I lay the pressure plate flat on the ground w/ the TOB on the fingers, the TOB isn't parallel to the ground. All the fingers are even w/ each other, just it isn't parallel to the ground. Is this just because the pressure plate isn't torqued down?

That's OK, try living in the Garden State w/ NY and Philly next door and the home of rubber-neckers. Then come to me complaining about traffic.
