Default check engine

so i was on my way home when i noticed that my check engine light was on. so i got the hole way home and everything seemed fine. when i was able to check everything out i didnt see any thing seemingly wrong. and the only thing is that when i rev up and the idel comes down when it crosses the 1k mark it gives a shutter and then smothes out.
but i dont know if that did that befor 2 or not.

so did this happen to anyone else in the past or what do u guys think. mabe it is a falty sensor or something. i just wanted ur opions befor i tried other things.

Take it to autozone or advance and have them check the codes before you mess with anything.

Do yourself a favor and buy a scanner (don't cheap out, get one that reads codes, stored codes, and pending codes).

As long as the car doesn't misfire, back fire, studder, or anything that makes driving impossible, you should be fine.
