Default check engine light and random question

okay...i bought an slp o/r xpipe a little ago and also a set of the MIL eliminators. Tried everything and the MIL's aren't working (yes they are in the rear o2's, i even reset my computer, disconnected the negative side of the battery). Basically everything you can possibly do just to get rid of that stupid engine light. I even bought another pair hoping i had a defect set and it still doesn't work. I was planning on getting my car dyno tuned within the next month or two, is there an option where i can get this light turned off?? I heard that if the MIL's dont work, this is your only other option...

thanks guys

i have one other random question, i just installed the 70mm accufab t/b and plenum. I had no problems, and i even double checked all of my hoses and everything and couldnt find anything wrong, but there seems to be a "vacuum noise" in my lower rpms. Is this normal? i wasn't sure if you should hear a slight air sucking noise from just having a larger t/b??

Have you had the codes pulled and see whats the actual cause of the CEL? Yes a tune can delete your CEL, but i'm positvie its something rather simple, it could be that your o2 sensors are bad themselves and need new ones..i don't know! Get the codes pulled and report back to us! You shoudln't hear any vacuum "sucking" noises from the plenum/tb install unless you have a CAI which of course then you'd hear it from the air filter itself! If you suspect some kind of leak, i'd get some carburetor cleaner and spray it where you think you have a leak, however if you wanna be thorough, i'd spreak it all round the Plenum/tb ect just to be safe! If you have any spikes in your rpms, you definately have a leak somewhere!

go to autozone or wherever, they will usually pull the code for free. Ditto on the carb cleaner to find the leak.

yes, i did just install a cai while putting on the t/b and plenum so maybe that is the noise, i just wasn't sure because ive never heard a cai on a car before. There isn't any spikes or anything in my rpm's so i'm beginning to think that maybe it isn't a leak.

thanks guys

i had my exhaust worked on when i got it back...it had the check engine light on and i have the MIL eliminators. I drove it for about 500 miles becuase it didn't really bother me cause i knew what it was and all of a sudden after 500 or something like that....it just went off. Weird but it saved me a trip under my car.

Yeah, my Engine coolant light randomly comes on but I check the level everytime and it's the same. Some cars are just like that, bad sensors and stupid **** like that.
