What gear?

Need to know the tire size, and what the max rpm you are going to run with the motor before you can know if you have enough tire or not as what the car is going to trap would help too. Otherwise who knows.

Also power curves are nice. But generally, w/ a larger engine, to get better 60' times, you want to step down w/ the gearing. What your friends say should be a good start. Also, the stall may be too high for yournew engine but then again, it depends on your power curve. However, you should try ratios above and below what we recommend since the track itself affects gearing and your track maybe more grippier or more slick.

I believe I would wait until its finished and see what you have before you change to something that still may not work. That 5000 stall is going to be a little much I think. Im thinking 4.30 gears would work the best. The cam is going to play a big part of what gear you choose.
