Default gears with or without tuner?

ok so now i decided maybe to get 3.73 gears for my gt in stead of buying some bolt on parts like pulleys and ram air, my car only has 26 k miles on it so i was wondering if i could get away with only buying the gears without the bearing kit and do i really need the tuner? i know it will set my speedo right, but i have a 5 speed so im not worried bout settin shift points, what else will the tuner help with?

Don't install gears unless you have precision measuring tools (i.e. dial indicators). Also, you could get away w/ not getting a bearing kit since your car is relatively low miles. Also, you need the tuner otherwise your speedo and odometer will be off. But you can use a tuner to put tunes on the car or to adjust aspects of the tune like timing, injector pulses/timing, etc.
